  • emotional intelligence
  • writing operational plans and keeping your team on track to achieve your goals
  • having difficult conversations with your team
  • communicating with stakeholders in a persuasive way
  • building an effective team and managing performance
  • using critical thinking and continuous improvement strategies to improve client service

How many units do I need to complete?

There are twelve (12) units of competency needed to complete your Diploma of Leadership and Management. CCWT has clustered the six (6) core units and three (3) of the elective units into five clusters. You can then choose three (3) additional elective units that suit your context and interests.

How is this qualification delivered?

You will work through online modules at your own pace. At the conclusion of each module, you complete assessment tasks. You will be supported by the CCWT team, and will be able to ask questions of your trainers and assessors when you need further assistance.
There are some workshops offered on the CCWT Calendar which will also support your learning if you enjoy learning in a small group environment. You can attend these workshops at a reduced rate of $100 per day (some are 1 day and some are 2 days) if you are enrolled in the complete qualification.

Why would I complete my qualification through CCWT instead of another provider?

CCWT is one of the leading providers of qualifications to the community sector. Our learning materials are tailored to the sector and are delivered by educators who have a wealth of practical experience. The skills and knowledge that you gain are directly applicable to your current or future work role.
It can be hard to stay motivated while completing a qualification. CCWT will support you to move through your studies but will also allow you to take breaks when needed.

What if I already have the skills? Can this be recognised? (RPL)?

If you would like to have existing skills recognised, you should enrol in our RPL Workshop - this is generally suitable for people with 2 or more years in a management role. You may also find that you have the skills for RPL for some of the units of competency, but not others. You can access an RPL assessment process for those individual units of competency.
