As a new manager or coordinator you are now responsible for ensuring that organisational goals and outcomes are achieved. This two day workshop provides you with a range of skills and tools to draw on in your role.

The course starts with the theory and practice of supervision, which is an important tool for new managers and coordinators. This leads on to specific communication skills such as providing feedback and exploring conflict management at a team level. Planning and prioritising team and personal goals, using problem solving models, and the role of reflective practice in growing you as a manager are also part of this interactive workshop.

You will gain:

• A background to supervision principles and practices
• Practical guides to common tasks such as providing a supervision session, giving feedback and difficult conversations
• Strategies to deal with conflict on a team and individual level
• Work planning and prioritisation strategies
• An understanding of the contribution of reflective practice to the growth of a manager
