Kirsten has 30 years' experience in finance and administration, including Director and General Manager roles in the human services sector in Australia, with responsibility for finances, governance, property and human resources and she has implemented business systems and processes to meet organisational needs within tight financial constraints.
She has personal experience as a voluntary Board member and is passionate about non-profit organisations having a clear understanding of their finances to inform management and governance decisions. Kirsten has extensive skills in administration systems development, strategic planning, people management, financial and risk management and has managed a diverse range of projects, from technology implementations through to education, training and change management programs.
Kirsten has held senior management roles in the corporate services area within the NFP sector, including with NSW Council of Social Service and SDN Children’s Services. She has managed a broad range of projects with Matrix on Board and Accounting for Good including the development and delivery of State-wide training under the NDS Good Governance program, large strategic planning exercises, delivery of consulting services under the National Disability Services panel of experts and development of web content for the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission on financial matters to address errors made by agencies reporting to the ACNC.
Accounting For Good provides outsourced financial management services to non-profit and social enterprise organisations, from transactional bookkeeping through to CFO level strategic support and advice. Kirsten is CEO of Accounting For Good, where she has worked in a number of roles with the company and its predecessor, Matrix on Board, since 2000.
