Ghassan Noujaim is the manager for the multicultural foster care program with Settlement Services International. Ghassan is a community services professional with expertise in the field of training and education, having been previously employed as a teacher and tutor for over 18 years. During his seven years working as a child protection and out-of-home-care caseworker with Family and Community Service (FACS) Ghassan strived to ensure families received culturally responsive practice through casework support, carer assessments, and finding culturally responsive placements that maintain children and young people’s culture and heritage. Ghassan’s commitment to cultural responsive practice has been recognised through receiving the FACS Outstanding Achievement Award and through the FACS Certificate of Recognition Award for Excellence in Practice.
