Laura Luchi

Laura Luchi is a registered psychologist and Co-Principal of Cara House, Centre for Resilience and Recovery.
Laura has been working with children, families and professionals in trauma and child protection since 1995. Her therapeutic work draws largely from trauma frameworks and is strongly influenced by resilience research, seeking to connect people to the personal and shared resources that nurture healing and sustain long term change.
She has written training packages, developed models for working with families affected by multiple forms of abuse and established a child sexual assault service on QLD’s Sunshine Coast as part of her passion for child protection.
Laura has also worked for many years with children’s sexual behaviour problems in government and NGO settings and has extensive experience as a trauma therapist, learning facilitator and supervisor in the child protection field.
