This course covers the basic concepts of networking and assists you to develop a plan to improve or increase the networking that your organisation undertakes.

Starting with a look at what networking is and the potential barriers, the course then moves on to collaboration between organisations – its strengths and weaknesses and practical implications for organisations. We think about the types of resources that are needed to maximise the benefits of collaborative activities, learn how to write a formal collaboration agreement and develop an evaluation plan.

The last part of the course is about how to represent your organisation effectively. This includes how to communicate issues, policies and practices of the organisation in different ways, with a section on social media and networking.

Assessment can be undertaken in the unit of competency CHCPRP001 Develop and maintain networks and professional relationships.
