Maria Katrivesis is an experienced and innovative facilitator and trainer with more than 20 years experience in the human services sector.
Her professional career, academic undertakings and personal experience have provided her with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of contemporary issues for people with disability, in particular people from non-English speaking backgrounds (NESB). With a strong commitment to human rights and social justice, she has built her professional career around creating a fairer and inclusive society for all.
She is an effective communicator and listener and has an eye for original and accessible training resource design. Her facilitation style is inclusive and accessible. She is dedicated to working with people to strengthen and build their individual capabilities.
In 2015 Maria was awarded the NSW Disability Industry Innovation Award for Excellence in Promoting Cultural Competency and the Minister’s Award for Excellence. Maria has completed the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
