Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ - Centre for Community Welfare Training (CCWT)

  • What if I am sick on the training day?

CCWT is committed to providing a safe and respectful learning environment for all course participants, facilitators, and staff. While government-mandated COVID-19 restrictions have eased, we continue to apply responsible health and safety practices for all face-to-face training.

Before attending an in-person course or visiting our premises, please note the following:

    • If you are unwell with cold, flu, or respiratory symptoms (e.g. sore throat, cough, fever), do not attend training.
    • If illness prevents you from attending, a minimum of two weeks’ notice is required to be eligible for a full refund or credit. Late withdrawals due to illness will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may require supporting documentation.
    • If you test positive for COVID-19, you should not attend face-to-face training for at least 5 days and only return when your symptoms have fully resolved.
    • Masks are optional, and hand sanitiser will be available at all sessions.
    • COVID-19 vaccination is no longer a requirement but is encouraged in line with current NSW Health advice.

For full details on our withdrawal, cancellation, transfer and refund policies, please refer to our Terms & Conditions.

  • What if I can’t access the online training?

CCWT uses the Zoom platform to host online training sessions. Common Zoom issues include:

    • Link does not open or loads a blank page
    • “Meeting does not exist” error
    • Zoom opens but no access is granted
    • Audio/video not working

Some suggested actions to resolve Zoom issues include:

    • Make sure Zoom is installed and up to date. Visit: https://zoom.us/download
    • If the Zoom link doesn’t work, open Zoom manually and select:
    • Join a Meeting
    • Enter the Meeting ID and Passcode from the class email

If using a work device or network, firewalls or your IT may block Zoom. Try:

    • Using a personal device (laptop, phone, tablet)
    • Connecting via mobile data or home Wi-Fi

If problems continue contact ccwt@ccwt.edu.au for further assistance.
