WHS in the Workplace
- Participate in workplace health and safety (HLTWHS001)
This course has no current classes. Please the waiting list.
Please note: This course is only available via credit card payment at the time of registration.
Work Health and Safety is an area of work in which myths abound. WHS concerns can be used to justify decisions about activities, without necessarily having gained an understanding of the legislation. It is a case of “a little knowledge is a dangerous thing”.
This course covers the basic information required to participate safely in the workplace. It includes an overview of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and outlines the rights and responsibilities of employees and employers. The course also looks at consultation, emergency procedures, and working within the team. There is an emphasis on how to apply the legislation in practical ways that reduce risks to clients and staff but does not restrict legitimate activities.
If you are undertaking a qualification through CCWT and these units are not listed on your Learning Pathway, please check with CCWT before beginning this distance kit.
