Public Speaking and Presenting Skills

For many people, having to give a public talk or presentation is their worst nightmare – yet a primary part of their role is to give talks, provide in-service training to staff, and present information and ideas to different groups.
This two day workshop will give you practical tools, strategies and practice to help you develop your public speaking and presentation skills and your confidence as a presenter.
You will be able to:
- Structure and design presentations to keep participants involved and interested
- Design and use relevant visual aids and other resources with skill and confidence
- Manage your nervous feelings and increase your confidence as a speaker and presenter
- Use your voice, body and personality to maintain audience/participant interest and involvement, and develop rapport
Who should attend?
Anyone who gives public talks/presentations about their service or program, provides in-service training to staff, or presents information and ideas to different groups
