Legal Issues for NGO Providers in OOHC is an overview of the Children and Young Person’s (Care and Protection) Act 1998 for case workers in the NGO OOHC sector. Participants are first provided with pre-course self-paced learning modules to complete, followed by this two day face-to-face training that builds on the modules, and allows for hands-on learning in identifying relevant parts of the legislation.

The course has been updated to reflect the new parts of the legislation proclaimed on October 29, 2014.

Participants are required to bring a printed most recent version of the Children & Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 to this training.

Please note: This course provides the introduction to and forms a prerequisite for the one day Affidavit and Report Writing and Giving Evidence in Children’s Court for NGOs.
