Staying Safe at Work

We engage with many clients who may compromise our safety at work because of their distress, frustration, anger, mental illness or confusion over the system, or they might be under influence of alcohol or other drugs. Staying safe at work means having the tools, practical skills and confidence to effectively manage situations both in office, in community and in home settings. This practical workshop is suitable for both the new practitioner and experienced workers looking to refresh their skills.

  • Understand client complexity
  • Understand the purpose and context of behaviour
  • Develop and extend practical skills to keep yourself safe
  • Address safety issues including the building, the people and agency policy
  • Utilise case studies and participant experience to build confidence and practice skills
