Supporting vulnerable families when they are remote schooling their children (age 5+)

This session will focus on practices for supporting families who are currently remote schooling. The emphasis will be families who experience vulnerability and may have previously received services from community organisations, or may be newly approaching services. The session will open with a presentation from senior government representatives (Department of Education and Department of Communities and Justice) about supports being put in place for vulnerable families. This will be followed by a moderated question and answer session. The intended outcomes of the session are to share knowledge of current government support strategies and how these can be accessed, identifying gaps, and sharing positive practices.

Participants are invited to post their questions in advance or during the session at:
Questions that cannot be addressed during the session will be responded to via a group email sent to participants after the session.
A password-protected link to access the session via Zoom, Skype for Business and telephone details will be forwarded to you prior to the event.
